General and Abdominal surgery
Specialists of the department perform operations on the organs of the abdominal cavity, the endocrine system and specialize in the surgical treatment of obesity. In most cases, surgical interventions are performed using minimally invasive surgery methods, which allow doctors to operate with high accuracy and not to touch healthy organs. The entire process is controlled by modern monitors via a mini camera.
Oncological surgery
Surgeons specialize in the removal of malignant tumors in the abdominal cavity, surgical intervention is combined with chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
In complex cases of diseases, the decision on the optimal treatment scheme is made by a council consisting of various specialists-oncologists and surgeons.
Minimally invasive surgical method is used by the department's doctors in the treatment of the following organs affected by tumors: esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, colon and rectum, pancreas.
Cancer Center
Oncologists of the center treat a wide range of diseases, including therapy for breast, colon and prostate cancer, head and neck.
To combat malignant tumors, doctors apply a comprehensive approach to treatment and use the most modern medical technologies and current methods, such as:
- Chemotherapy.
- Targeted therapy.
- Immunotherapy.
- Combined radiochemotherapy.
The clinic uses the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for high-precision imaging and robotic surgery.
Cardiac Surgery
Helios cardiac surgeons specialize in the treatment of various cardiovascular diseases. For surgical interventions, the department has hybrid operating rooms with a set of tools for open and minimally invasive operations.
Since 2010, the Helios Krefeld Clinic has been performing operations for the implantation of the aortic valve without extensive skin incisions using the TAVI method.
TAVI is performed through a catheter that doctors insert into the femoral or carpal arteries. The heart surgeon monitors the implant installation process using X-ray equipment.
The use of the low-trauma TAVI method allows the patient to quickly recover and be discharged from the clinic in 1-3 days after the operation.
The department practices another effective method – replacement of the valve by Dr. Ozaki, which is based on the installation of a biological valve made from the patient's pericardial bag. A minimally invasive procedure has a number of advantages:
- a biological prosthesis takes root better than a mechanical one;
- the patient gets rid of the need to take medications to prevent blockage of blood vessels.
The clinic offers single or double rooms and luxury rooms for patients to choose from.
- Translation services from the international office are provided on a paid basis.
- Patients and accompanying persons are assisted in booking accommodation: a hotel on the territory of the clinic, apartments near the clinic.
